so mmhhmm this blog hasnt been updated for years now . i couldve died but meh tough luck im well and alive . well really , i was on an inspiration search . sort of like hunting for something that would really excite me and push creativity .

AND I'VE FOUND IT .

i know ive found it because i have that tingling feeling in my bones , chills running up and down my spine and channeling through my veins , excitement in my feet , my eyes darting back and forth left and right , and my mind just exploding with thoughts .

ive developed a strong liking towards black - white - grey - layers - drapey - all - about - textures clothing . if youre interested in how i developed this strong liking , well i was in melbourne and my sister took my for a visit to Assin . then and there . it was like an epiphany . plus they were playing the xx in their warehouse like store . i just went weak at the knees .

well just as i thought i've reached self-actualization in terms of fashion (i finally figured out my dress-style was rather grungy (i initially thought my style was called im-just-a-really-messy-person-in-big-clothes) because my friend told me my style is so grunge and i googled it and was in a state of epiphany; my style could be put into ONE word), i have gone back down the hierarchy now because my parents have just enacted a law that i can no longer wear tights . it is apparently revealing because when i bend my knees , they can see a faint color of skin . omgiamsosorryyoucanseemyskin!diditoffendyou?

for some reason i just viewed Henry Vibskov's Spring 2011 show in Milan - The Last Pier Pandemonium (seriously , pandemonium , such a long word) and the size of these pictures on vogue do not do his show justice .

look CAREFULLY at them . save them and zoom if you must . bring a magnifying glass if you must . gorge your eyes out if you must !

i'm in vienna austria now . i stayed in a paris apartment (which i will post pictures of another time , umpteen days away maybe) which was amazingly inspiring-ly decorated . it just makes me want to take up interior design or architecture or something . then we went to nice , which was nice (ha get my lame joke) where they still had green trees , green grass , blue skies , and cute dogs .

but now ..

first time i've seen snow fall from the sky (YES I AM THAT DEPRIVED) and we were stuck , lost in it for almost 3 hours . couldn't blame us . we were trying to get to herminengasse but ended up in herrengasse (or something like) . the street names are ... difficult .

i dont know but my sister and i came up with a theory that austrian people (in vienna at least) have never seen asian people . i was sitting in a mcdonalds facing a window that faces the streets . and there were actually people who were walking by ... look ... stare ... peace sign ... smile ... wave ... two hand peace sign ... two hand wave ... two hand peace sign while waving . these boys mustve lived under a rock (no insult to patrick the starfish whatsoever) . hi . i am currently in london and my toes and noes are falling off from extreme cold (note i spelled noes for visual effect) (or maybe i'm just making that up as a cover coz my brains froze and has lost its ability to spell) . the flight from malaysia to here was rather close to being tortured by russians or north koreans in american movies , where they put you in a confined dark space for hours and hours ... a rounded 13 hours and 45 minutes (not counting waiting time which adds on another 500 hours) to be specific . but anyways ! it was worth it . coz i went to portobello market and then oxford street . i left my shoulders somewhere in oxford street coz they just broke off from my torso from extreme weight pressure . and i sorta left my eyes gawking in topshop at the fact that they have topshop candy , topshop gummies , topshop toilet , topshop cafe , and a floor just for shoes . i sound like an asian girl who lived in an icy mountain with wampa her whole life with no access to such amazingness and is in extreme shock from all the tall white people weaving through the underground tube .

well anyways , really , i wrote this post to just say , i cant post for the next 20 days probably . hehhhh , excuse the girl on holiday . sorreh .

hahahahaha , Owl City posted the sentence " You Are Braver Than You Believe " ... somehow , i kinda saw something related to beavers . and started laughing . really loud . like a hyuk hyuk hyuk hyuk maniac .

so anyways ! i am through first semester of college . i've mastered the art of shove-and-duck ! shove-and-duck ! to get my way through hallways of kissing-hugging couples who really do not give a damn about their surroundings . and also the art of grab-wallet-grab-money-pay-scram to avoid angering the cafeteria cashier woman whom i suspect live with 11 owls and has to keep her job to feed those 11 owls , which makes her grumpy .

but in my bliss from having no worries at the back of my head , i have decided to post some random inspirational photos from all over . please feel inspired .

according to my amazing information keeping skills (i call it AIKS) (if you were malaysian you would get my cheesy local joke) the first girls name is Josefin while the second girls name is Josefine (note the extra e) . same person or no ?

if they were different people , this would probably be the same situation as turning up at prom in the exact same dress as the popular cheerleader in your high school . only , your name would be Dolphin and hers would be Dolphine (just because) (note: yours would be pronounced as Dolphin and hers would be more of a Dolpheeeeen) . and if it were the same person (which i assume because the pant length on both their left leg is eerily the same) , WHY DIDN'T SHE CHANGE ?

not that this outfit sucks or anything ... but ... WHY ?

so i really should be working on my assignment now . but i decided to give it a break (those pictures of people hunting whale and selling animal parts really makes me feel like throwing up) and ask the ultimate life question (exaggeration for suspense) :

i know , that would probably be the shallowest life question ever .

BUT ! before you say clearly what the answer is (clearly what the answer is supposed to be at first thought would be dr martens) , i never thought i would be asking this question . i've always thought , i would clearly choose the doc marts over anything . BUT ! (so many butts) (HAHA bet you noticed my double t) let me lay out the pros on cons .

pros for doc marts :

- IT IS SO AWESOME .

- it is said to last a life time ... so hopefully i would live till a 100 so it would be worth it (yes i still plan to wear it when im 100)

- it is water-proof

- yahoo answers says it is a good shoe in snow

cons for doc marts :

- it is expensive

- i can only get it in singapore (malaysia sucks , again)

- it is freakishly heavy

- it gives blisters (and the whole purpose of me buying a boot would be for going on a holiday to Europe where we would be sort of backpacking , thus blisters + backpacking , NOT A GOOD IDEA )

NOW !

pros for timberland :

- it is cheaper by almost 200 ringgit (i dont know conversion rates)

- it is lighter

- (i assume) it would be more comfortable for backpacking and wouldn't give me blisters

cons for timberland :

- it is a freakishly awful color (yes , only one color available in malaysia) (i think the government would arrest me for dissing my own country so much)

- i personally don't like it's appearance as much (so it might end up being the white elephant amongst my dust bunnies) (i am so animal-friendly)

cons for both :

i would be wearing cow on my feet .

SO ! would anyone care to help me decide .

(oh and i promise , i would stop doing one pictures posts with a gazillion thousand words)

because i was featured on MSN Malaysia's street style fashion at Paramore's concert and THEY SPELLED MY NAME WRONG . It is CHERMAYNE . not Chermaine . I corrected the woman , but who listens to a 5 feet 17 year old kid , whom everyone assumes doesn't know how to spell her name anyways . So might as well just spell it how it is supposed to be spelled . Thanks woman (p.s. woman , if you ever read this , i'm not actually that pissed , i just have a habit to making myself sound more pissed than i actually am) .

BUT ANYWAYS ! I usually don't celebrate my excitement in public , and despite all that complaining (pet peeve sorry) , i have concluded that , I AM HAPPY . Even though i used to diss MSN's choice of street style outfits all the time (yes i am aware that i am now dissing myself) .. I AM STILL HAPPY (note i am using the word happy not blissful) . Plus i can tell that MSN lady isn't on the same wavelength as me in terms of what is stylish and deserves to be on the net because the girl who works in Mid Valley Topshop (whom i maybe stalk ... maybe) , was there , and i spotted her right away , but this MSN woman did not .

And i ... i was practically wearing the plainest , as cooling as possible thing in my closet , and she spotted me . So maybe i am just weird that what others see as nice i don't and what i do , other's don't (whoa complicating sentence structure) . But i clearly know that i do not deserve or have the standards to have been taken .

I WAS AT A CONCERT . PARAMORE concert to be particularly particular . And i don't dress for concerts when i know i would be head-banging and am going to come out of the concert looking like a complete sweat mess . So yeah , when a lady (of about the same height) rushed up to me speaking 10 words per second holding up a camera saying "hi-i'm-from-msn-street-styles-and-i-would-like-to-take-your-picture-could-you-please-stand-there-thanks." and then completely bombarding me with questions like "where-did-you-get-those-shoes?" (they were 20 ringgit (6 dollars?) from some jin-jjang (that was a malaysian word) mall) and "could-you-please-describe-your-style-in-5-words-or-less" , i didn't know what to say and stumbled over my words and ended up sounding extremely stupid and humiliating (her fast talking made me extra super excited (i was on the verge of hyuk hyuk hyuk hyuk hyuk at that point) , in addition to my photo-shyness , thus the stupidity) .

And now , my stupidity is all over msn malaysia ..... and my wrongly spelled name (which seems like a good thing now , it could just be someone else) . And i know it sounds childish , but i am actually kinda shy now .

Oh , and seems she isn't too interested in my bag from some camping shop that i was carrying that Cherish brought back from Melbourne that Stevie Dance has in yellow . HOW CAN SHE NOT ?!

so ! my sister came back to malaysia from melbourne for the week and i decided i would take pictures of her outfits since i consider her best-dressed amongst all the people that i actually know in real life (no i don't know Tavi , Christeric , or Abbey Lee in real life) .

yes , that is a lotta stickers .

i have a tendency to edit every single picture i take . i hate my photography skills seriously . and whether after i edited them i made them any nicer or not , WHO CARES .

anyways , cherish was wearing some asymmetrical lace-net-at-the-back-dress from Evil Twin and some i-don't-know-where-she-got-it vintage looking bag with a vintage key hanging at the zipper . and everyone kept staring at her in the mall . IT WAS FUNNY .

anyways , Nicole Miller . indeed ... SHEER GENIUS .

Yes that is 15 photos right there . And i know people tend to just skim through a post with a lotta photos . BUT SERIOUSLY , spend at least 3 seconds to look at each outfit (that would just be 45 seconds all together . you must be wondering , i am a math whizz indeed ). This is by far the best runway i've seen for Spring 2011 . It proves how sheer can go with military , minimal , drapey , suits , print , and any of those categories style.com can come up with . And that gradient sheer from grey to black . GAWD .

ALL THAT SHEER . ijceiojdfewiodjewiorj ! just the thought of being in the same room with so much amazing flowy material makes me want to pee (slight exaggeration , but almost real) .

Oh i feel retarded for liking something just for the flow of it . And those colors , make me feel like going to the beach more than ever coz it reminds me of the ocean and cocktails .

I have come to a realization that my tastes dwell on two extremes . Hello ladies and germs ! Here is an extremely artistic and mind boggling video Cherish showed me . IT IS AWESOME .

And i feel like doing some DIY . Though i am very scared ... i have some lousy fat fingers prone to messing up .

So .. i either want to cut up pieces of cloth into fringes and sew them onto a t-shirt ,

or stick tiny studs/sequins and sew them onto the insides of my already torn blazer by accident ,

or buy some feathers and find some magical way to attach them to my earrings ,

Weekday Spring 2010 lookbook !

I was going to say more Weekday for the Weekdays (which i believed would've sounded rather funny) , but today is already Friday , so ... more Weekday for the Weekend ! (aha that was so not funny , i don't know why i typed it out) .

Is it insanity to update my blog twice in a day ? WELL TOO BAD . Ima do it anyways . Because if Complex Geometries can have a one-day sale (and even though everything was still WAY off my price list with a 40% discount , everything still looked SO amazingly asymmetrical (go figure , complex geometries) , i didn't buy anything) ... where was i ? New sentence ! I visited their site and saved like a hundred photos from their collections . And then thought , HEY ! I own a blog , why not post some of the pictures on the blog ! third day of college , AND I SAW TWO INTERESTING PEOPLE . FINALLY . a girl , whom i have actually noticed before who's always smoking at the entrance every morning who has extremely cool short hair and style ... and in addition to the interesting list , a boy who was wearing turtle nerdy perfectly rounded glasses with a buttoned right to the top shirt . by the end of this semester , i will befriend them and take a picture of both of them . thaaaat's right ! semester goal !

Hello dead blog ! I am home ! Home from where amazingly unique individuals roam the streets in the most amazing outfits and hair (i used amazing twice , it is really that amazing) . And that stupendously awwwesommee place is Melbourne .

I regret with every bit of me that i did not take a single picture of ONE interesting person on the street . NOT ONE . WHAT WAS I THINKING . I must've been in such a daze and struck with awesomeness i was brain dead . GAH I FEEL STUPID .

BUT ANYWAYS ! Speaking of the amount of interesting people in Melbourne (i swear , every corner i turn i'm was bound to see someone who looked as if they just walked out of Yvan Rodic's website) i'll show you the one and only interesting person from Malaysia ! I WENT TO THE SKATEPARK YESTERDAY ! YES I DID ! (that was me imitating the annoying lady judge on So You Think You Can Dance) How i miss that place and how i miss the sounds of the skateboard (i know , it just sounds like bam bam bam , but it's beautiful to my ears) . I was with Audi , Abyan , Elfo , and Uzo ; while we were there we met Collin (or something like that) , some other British or something boy there , Jerry , and Fairuzal . Fairuzal is amazing . Xgames competitor and is only 17 . Omg .

Sorry , this isn't a fashion post either . Just felt like posting it . And yellow has gotten me into the mood of summer , though my summer hols are actually already over by now .

I FEEL HAPPY KTHANKSBYE . Even though my body is not co-operating with me (my nose won't breathe , my throat won't swallow , my neck won't support my body , and my brains won't allow me to funny or entertaining . i'm sorry BUT BLAME MY BODY) .

Whoa whoa whoa ! My poll is on a tieeeee ! Of 2 votes each . I have four readers ! Why thank you . But i actually posted up that poll late , coz i bought my Converse the day right after i did , so i .... actually couldn't take your suggestions into consideration . Je suis désolé . And ... i bought low cuts ! From this super duper uber dodgy mall (but no it's not dodgier than the old lady's house with the 11 cats and 9000 owls) called Pertama . They have the weirdest shops . Like there are probably 50 cellphone shops that sell the exact same cellphones , shoe shops that sell Doc Martens (yes yes yes i found em Melia!) , 2 shops that sell nothing but trophies and medals , tons of soccer and badminton shops , and a shop that only sells helmets .

I have to go there again .

There it is . It's dark blue , if you're color blind (or maybe i'm just trying to trick you into thinking you are color blind by manipulating all those colors to make it look black) . And don't ask me about the box or your face i will box . GEDDIT ? Hohohohohohoho ! I'm chinese , i know kung fu . Don't mess around . And don't bother asking about the star either because it is just my Pilot G3 1.0 Gel pen + my amazing drawing skills .

OH OH OH AND ! I was looking at some of the Mary Kate Olsen pictures i have saved in my laptop from all over the internet , and guess whaaaaaaat ?

secret coded number mind you .

Okay this is going to be serious , i just suddenly felt like talking about how much i am an animatarian (derived from the word animal+humanitarian) . Never heard of such a word ? That's coz i just made it up 2.5342 seconds ago . So yes , as an animatarian , or animal lover if you like but that just sounds so girl scout , i can't help but dislike animal prints and fur . I know i know , their not made out of real animal skin and fur now is always faux , but i keep on imagining it as if it were real . It actually feels rather painful and disturbing when i think of a human wearing an animal . Also my dad got me this really nice leather backpack , and now i can't help but not want to use it coz it feels so much like i'm carrying the skin of a dead animal on my back . Which i really actually am . Probably one of those cows i saw last week , who knows . So what do i do ? I don't know . What do i do ?

In the meantime , i found some more fancy pansy asymmetrical carpet curtain whatever like clothing .

which is the exact reason why i'm still single . i prefer sitting in front of the TV watching large green fields that were mowed in a rather fascinating pattern (yes you have just opened 5 tabs of football field pictures) , (pi) <-- that was pizza for the illiterates in reading emoticons , and fake beer . So anyways ! Away from that long misleading , out of point , of no use introduction , i shall now talk about Lars Andersson's Fall 2010 collection . Simply because it is rather WNEIDSOFVHEOIJD mind blowing .

You may be wondering why the heck i am blogging about Fall clothing while everyone else is so into summer and flowers and the sun , well because in Malaysia ... I have graduated grade 11 !

Time for a good long reflection on my time in school . JK , i'm not a jerk . HAHAHAHA dont i just sound like one of those annoying Facebook groups ????? I do ? Why thank you !

Kay , so the reason why i haven't been blogging in such a long time is because ... an entire bookshelf fell on my head at 3am in the morning while i was asleep about a week or two ago .

(this was pretty much how it looked like when i got up feeling extremely dazed (but still was able to think of taking a picture for my blog) , only the vase was moved ... obviously) (and gosh look at the Simple Plan , Avril Lavigne , and Yellowcard cds ! i used to be so nerdy .)

The bookshelf must've hit the funny and interesting nerve in my head , coz i was suddenly neither funny nor interesting . BUT ! I read excessive amounts of Tavi and hopefully i have regained my funny/interesting-ness .

because ... i have only been to this doctor 4 times . First time , was for a dog bite on the ankle . Second time , was for a dog bite on the lip (i think i'm ready for a lip piercing now , the pain would be easy peasey lemon squeeeeezy) , third time was for a rash , and today , the fourth time was for another rash . How very interesting ! He gave me steroids !
